Team Tech is a dynamic, interdisciplinary project group operating under the University of California, Riverside chapter of the Society of Women Engineers (SWE). Our team brings together passionate engineering students from a wide range of disciplines united by a shared commitment to innovation, collaboration, and social impact. Each year, we partner with an industry sponsor to design and implement an engineering solution that aligns with their humanitarian or socially responsible goals. These projects challenge us to think creatively, apply classroom knowledge in real-world contexts, and develop professional skills in teamwork, project management, and communication. Participating in Team Tech not only offers invaluable hands-on experience but also serves as a standout addition to any resume, showcasing both technical expertise and a strong commitment to social responsibility.
SOLARA — Sunlight Oriented Learning and Research Analyzers — is a semi-autonomous, solar-powered rover built to map R'Garden and collect environmental data, giving farmers data-driven recommendations to maximize produce output.
This project is proudly supported by a Green Grant from the Green Campus Action Plan (GCAP) at UC Riverside, which funds student-led initiatives that advance sustainability and environmental impact on campus.
